The space saving bunk bed
The space saving MONTEREY bunk bed makes children's dreams come true. It fits in every child's room and offers maximum fun on two levels! The practical cot bar set (see accessories) converts the lower bunk into a baby cot for little children. There is also an additional back and armrest set available for the lower bunk. Complementary there are also our LINA curtain rails with curtains in several bright colours and sails available. The upper bunk can be supplemented with NEW CASLTE boards, LILLY Princess boards or CONNY porthole boards. On the long wall side it is clever to add our MILWAUKEE bed shelves which can be added to the upper and lower bunk, long side und head/foot side as well.
The rope support beam can be exchanged with the upper railing beam of the head/foot side of the upper bunk. This does give you the opportunity to attach the climbing rope or a hammock seat at the corner beam position. As result the height of the rope support beam is being reduced from 220 cm to 194 cm which is why we advise you to make some knots more into the rope which will make it shorter. The attachment of the rope support beam at the head/foot side of the bed is not possible if a NEW Castle or LILLY princess board is being attached to this head or foot side at the same time. Further individual accessories such as a ship’s wheel or toy crane can be attached to several spots of this bed and transform this MONTEREY bunk bed into an adventure bed.
Getting up in the morning will be so much more fun when our LONG ISLAND slide is being attached to this bed. The slide entrance is given between a corner beam and the ladder but the position of the ladder and the slide can be exchanged. Due to the possibility of the mirror inverted assembly there are actually four positions possible of the slide attachment. Further possibilities of adding a slide to this bunk bed is given with the help of an additional LONG ISLAND platform (see accessories). Two spacious drawers mounted on roller bearings with security stop offer sufficient storage room for beddings or toys and establish tidiness and order in your children’s room.
Two slatted mattress foundations made of solid wood and fixed to the bed by each slat do provide an enormous loading capacity even if mommy and daddy need to sleep in this bed as well. Another advantage of the fix slatted mattress foundations is that the upper bunk is not being misused as a bouncing castle. The upper bunk can be raised up upwards by 32 cm. This means the height can be adjusted further fitting the needs of your growing child perfectly. The distance between the floor and the mattress beam of the upper bunk is then raised from 118 cm to 150 cm. NEW CASTLE boards, LILLY Princess boards and CONNY porthole boards are no longer usable for this height because the height of the upper guard rails is being halved compared to assembly option 4. This higher assembly option is suitable for children above the age of 11.
Due to its practical beam construction our MONTEREY bunk bed is set up in a modular system and therefore compatible with all other WOODLAND beds. This means you are able to transform each WOODLAND bed into a different model via our conversion sets, even after several years. Furthermore you are able to separate the two bunks into two separate beds; e. g. one loft bed and one youth bed – ask our support. Thus you can rely on long term flexibility with regard to future transformation possibilities.
A range of different conversion sets for the MONTEREY bunk bed can be found here.
